Narrative
Every package has a narrative to tell. From start to finish, an original story will unfold as you dig deeper into the mystery. Utilizing notes, journals, props, online features, and real world devices, each package is guaranteed to be a unique experience.
Puzzles
Packages are guaranteed to have at least two but an average of four puzzles that can be solved by the recipient. None of these MUST be solved for a complete narrative, however most will make the story more interactive.
Artifacts
Artifacts are items, tokens, found objects, thingamajigs, devices, and doohickeys that are a part of your narrative. An artifact might give clues to the story or might simply enhance the experience. Each package is designed to have at least one artifact suited for a trophy case.
Our experiences are based on and/or inspired by reality. There are so many wonderful things in this universe which we enjoy exploring. Every package has at least a small amount of the real world built into it. The staff of PPi is excited about exploring different cultures and histories to help examine the loom which weaves our world. Far beyond our backyards are more diverse experiences than we could hope to live in one lifetime. If something is interesting to us we do our best to research and learn about it. Hopefully we learn enough that we feel comfortable providing you with an adventure that gives you a glimpse into something beyond your backyard too.
The world of PPi takes place in an alternate world, with an alternate history - so not everything is going to be 100% true to life. Every once in a while we take some liberties with facts to help with a puzzle or tie in with a narrative. If you are interested in some of the historical or esoteric aspects of an experience we encourage you to find some books and do some further reading.
We do our best to be sensitive when deciding what parts of history we want to explore and share with you because not all history is nice. Stories may include incidents or public figures which we very strongly disagree with and may appear as a cultural backdrop or antagonist. This is because our belief is that ignoring them would do a disservice to those that lived during the time or were were directly affected by those events. It is our belief that learning from the past and exploring many cultures and points of view is the best way to experience the world and learn about yourself. With that being said, we encourage any questions you might have or suggestions you might make. Our primary goal is to entertain and hopefully you will accidentally learn something.
